I agree,coaching should be allowed at court side during a match. Such a move would allow players to perhaps change their “planned” method of “attack” when such attack is not working which would lead to a more interesting match. Coaching while the player change sides would would not delay the game and would provide some interesting moments.

Michael, Great column about coaching for the pros. I just finished reading the November issue of Tennis Week, and the first thing I read was your letter in “Behind the Baseline”. As I was reading it I was impressed with the quality of the writing and the rationale of the argument.
